Yellow Jacket Men Second, Women Seventh After Day Two of SUNY-Fredonia Invitational

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed on day two (Saturday, December 5, 2009) of the SUNY-Fredonia (N.Y.) Invitational in Fredonia, New York. The Yellow Jacket men stand in second place and the women are seventh of the 10 teams competing.

The third and final day of competition begins with prelims at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow. Finals are slated for 4:00 p.m.

For the men, the 200-yard freestyle relay team of senior Vince Colwell (Parma/ Normandy), sophomore Nic Null (Shelby/ Mansfield St. Peter's), senior Jordan Irwin (Westerville/ Westerville South) and junior Ryan Musille (Canton/ GlenOak) placed second in 1:30.07.

Musille also placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a season-best time of 1:01.80 and junior Hector Diaz (El Paso, Texas/ Cathedral) was second in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:04.70 - also a season-best.

In additional results from day one, junior four-time All-American diver Todd Richert (North Royalton) won the one-meter dive with a pool-record 486.70 points.

On the women's side, freshman Julie Pinter (Broadview Heights/ Brecksville Broadview Heights) placed second in the three-meter dive with 413.10 points.
