BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's and women's swimming & diving teams competed on the third and final day (Friday, February 19) of the 2010 Ohio Athletic Conference Championship meet at the University of Akron's Ocasek Natatorium. The Yellow Jacket men finished third and the women were fourth. Junior four-time All-American Todd Richert (North Royalton) and freshman Julie Pinter (Broadview Heights/Brecksville Broadview Heights) swept the OAC Diver of the Year awards.
Ohio Northern University's men totaled 325 points and were followed by John Carroll University (187), BW (159), Mount Union College (136) and Wilmington College (58).
ONU's women totaled 256.5 points and were followed by MUC (224), JCU (217), BW (78.5) and WC (72).

Richert won the one-meter dive for the third straight year with a score of 476.75 points. He won the championship on the three-meter board yesterday and earns Diver of the Year honors for the second time in his career (first came in 2008 as a freshman). Richert is provisonally qualified in both diving events for the NCAA National Championship meet in late March.
Pinter finished second in the three-meter dive with 421.80 points. She also won the one-meter championship yesterday and is provisonally qualified for Nationals.
Also for the women, freshman Gabby Parker (Girard, Pa./Villa Maria Academy) turned in her second All-OAC finish of the weekend with a second-place showing (55.21) in the 100-yard freestyle.
