BW Freshman Diver Julie Pinter Places Sixth to Earn First All-American Honor

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University diver Julie Pinter (Broadview Heights/ Brecksville-Broadview Heights) continued her stellar freshman campaign by earning the first All-American honor of her career with a sixth-place finish on the one-meter board at the 2010 NCAA Division III National Championship meet on Thursday, March 18 at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Pinter ranked seventh after the preliminary round with 391.25 points and moved up a place into sixth with 400.55 points in the finals.

Pinter also competes in the three-meter event of this year's championships on Saturday, March 20 and will look to become only the second athlete in BW swimming & diving history to earn multiple All-American honors. Five-time All-American junior diver Todd Richert (North Royalton) competes on the one-meter board tomorrow. He placed 13th on the three-meter board yesterday. Finals for each event begin at 6:00 p.m.
