BW Diver Todd Richert Places 13th to Earn Fifth All-American Honor

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University junior diver Todd Richert (North Royalton) earned the fifth All-American honor of his career by placing 13th on the three-meter board at the 2010 NCAA Division III National Championship meet on Wednesday, March 17 at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Richert qualified for Wednesday's consolation final with 382.85 points in the prelims. He then scored 405.65 points in the finals.

As a sophomore last season, Richert placed sixth in the one-meter event and 14th in the three-meter. As a freshman in 2007-08, he was 12th on the three-meter board and 13th on the one-meter. He is the only athlete in the history of the BW swimming & diving program to earn multiple All-American awards.

Richert also competes in the one-meter event of this year's championships on Friday, March 19. Yellow Jacket freshman Julie Pinter (Broadview Heights/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) competes in the women's one-meter dive tomorrow and the three-meter event on Saturday, March 20. Finals for each event begin at 6:00 p.m.
