Yellow Jacket Men Second, Women Sixth on Day One of SUNY-Fredonia Invitational

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed on day one of the SUNY-Fredonia (N.Y.) Invitational this evening (Friday, December 4, 2009) in Fredonia, New York. The BW men are second and the women are sixth of 10 teams competing.

Day two of the invite begins with 10:00 a.m. prelims tomorrow. Finals will begin at 5:00 p.m.

BW's top performances on day one come on the men's side. Junior Ryan Musille (Canton/ GlenOak) was second in the 50-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 22.34 and sophomore Nic Null (Shelby/ Mansfield St. Peter's) was fifth in 22.90. The 400-yard medley relay team of freshman Louis Runge (Avon), Musille, junior Matt Diamond (Ashtabula/ Lakeside) and Null finished third in 3:47.06.

Following day two tomorrow, the Yellow Jackets close out the weekend at SUNY-Fredonia on Sunday with prelims at 10:00 a.m. and finals at 4:00 p.m.
