Mazzeo Garners First Career OAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week Accolade

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University men's basketball senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC guard Anthony Mazzeo (North Canton/ Massillon Jackson) has been named the Midstream Lighting OAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the first time in his career.

Mazzeo earned the honor after scoring a season-high 28 points on 11-of-19 field goals and also grabbed a season-high eight rebounds to lead BW to a 69-55 victory over Penn State Behrend College last Tuesday.

On the season, Mazzeo has appeared and started in four games while playing 129 minutes. He is tied for the OAC lead with 23.0 point-per-game and second in the OAC with 92 points. Mazzeo has also posted 23 total rebounds and averages 5.8 rebounds-per-contest, has dished out four assists, two steals and made one block.

For his career, Mazzeo has appeared in 63 games and made 57 starts. He has scored 941 points, grabbed 253 rebounds, dished out 114 assists, has 41 steals and 11 blocked shot.

Off the court, he is a two-time Academic All-OAC selection, Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, November 30 when they travel to Tiffin for the OAC opener against Heidelberg University inside the Seiberling Gymnasium at 7:00 p.m.
