B-W Baseball Team Drops 11-10 Decision to Thomas More (Ky.) in Winter Haven

BEREA, OHIO --  The Baldwin-Wallace College baseball team lost an 11-10 decision to Thomas More (Ky.) College today (Wednesday, March 10, 2010) to drop to 2-4 overall on their annual spring break trip to the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational in Winter Haven, Florida.

The Yellow Jackets play traditional and longtime rival Wittenberg University at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow.  Fans can listen to that game and follow LIVE stats at http://www4.wittenberg.edu/news/athletics/sportsnetwork/.

Despite the loss to TMC, senior catcher Matt Bush (Grafton/ Midview) was a perfect four-for-four at the plate with two doubles and a triple.

The Yellow Jackets built a 5-1 lead before TMC had a six-run fifth inning to go ahead 7-5. After B-W finally tied the game with two runs in the top of the ninth inning, the Saints scored the game-winner in the bottom of the frame.

Following its game tomorrow versus Wittenberg, B-W will play a doubleheader against Albion (Mich.) College on Friday, March 11 at 3:00 p.m. and end their trip with a single game versus Farleigh Dickinson-Madison on Saturday, Mar. 12 at 12:30 p.m.

The Yellow Jackets home and northern opener is on Tuesday, March 23 versus Walsh University at 4:00 p.m. at Heritage Field in Berea. B-W's OAC opening doubleheader is on Saturday, April 3 at Marietta College at 1:00 p.m.
