Brandon Fredericks Named 2008-2009 Clyde Lamb Scholar Athlete Award Winners

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin-Wallace College baseball student-athlete Brandon Fredericks (Copley/ Richfield Revere) has been named the 2008-2009 Clyde Lamb Scholar-Athlete Award winners for his efforts on the field and in the classroom. 

Fredericks compiled an outstanding 3.93 grade point average as a business administration, accounting and finance triple-major. He earned second-team ESPN THE MAGAZINE Academic All-District IV honors in 2009 and was named an honorable mention All-Ohio Athletic Conference performer.

Fredericks had his finest season on the diamond in 2009, posting a 5-4 record and leading the Yellow Jackets with 52 and two-third innings pitched, three complete games and 32 strikeouts.

Fredericks was named an Academic All-OAC pick in 2008 and is a candidate for that honor once again in 2009. He is a Dean's List student and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma and Alpha Lambda honor societies. Fredericks also received the Academic Excellence Top Sophomore Award at the Student-Athlete Awards Reception in 2007 and had the top freshman athlete GPA in 2006. He was also the President of Accounting and Portfolio Analysis for the B-W Investment Club.

The Clyde Lamb Award, symbolic of the most outstanding student-athlete, is presented annually to one male and one female student-athlete from each of the 10 OAC institutions.
