Kidd Named Outstanding Senior Athlete at Baldwin-Wallace College

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin-Wallace College baseball centerfielder Cody Kidd (Wellington) has been named as a co-winner of the Kenneth F. Steingass Outstanding Senior Male Athlete Award.

Kidd, a 2008 ESPN THE MAGAZINE Academic All-American, was a first-team All-OAC selection in 2009 after earning second-team honors in both 2007and 2008. In 2009, he ranked fourth in the OAC with a .413 batting average and second with 52 runs scored and led the league with six triples and 23 stolen bases in 26 attempts. Kidd also totaled 13 doubles, three homeruns and 40 runs batted-in. He finished his career as the school's all-time leader in hits (184), runs scored (143), triples (14) and hit-by-pitches (25). He also had more stolen bases (62) and a higher batting average (.387) than any other Yellow Jacket from 2000-2009. Kidd is once again eligible for the ESPN THE MAGAZINE Academic All-America process after earning first-team Academic All-District IV honors for a third straight year.
