Baldwin-Wallace College Baseball Team Defeats Dubuque (Iowa), 19-9, in Winter Haven, Florida

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College baseball team defeated the University of Dubuque (Iowa) by a score of 19-9 today (Tuesday, March 10, 2009) in Winter Haven, Florida on the third day of its annual spring break trip.  The win was B-W's second straight and evened its season record at 2-2.

At the plate, senior ESPN THE MAGAZINE Academic All-American centerfielder Cody Kidd (Wellington) was 4-for-6 with three runs batted-in. Sophomore outfielder Ben Stoper (Medina/Senior) was 3-for-5 with a homerun and senior 2-time All-OAC first baseman Riley Kreisher (Ashtabula/Edgewood) hit a two-run homer for his second round-tripper in as many games.

On the mound, junior Scott Luthman (Celina) pitched the first five innings to pick up the win.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action tomorrow, Wednesday, March 11 when they play a doubleheader against Rhode Island College. The first game is set to begin at 10:00 a.m.
