Harris Garners Second Career OAC Men’s Tennis Weekly Honor

BEREA, Ohio  -- Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC player Peter Harris (Akron/Revere) has been selected as the OAC Men's Tennis Player-of-the-Week for the second time in his career.

Harris, the 2015 OAC Men's Tennis Player of the Year, earned his second weekly honor after going 5-0 in singles play and 4-1 in doubles action as the Yellow Jackets posted a record of 5-1 during its annual spring break trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina.  He swept all of his singles matches in straight sets.
 

This season, Harris has a record of 18-3, including an 11-1 mark at first singles.   He and senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC teammate Doug Ganim (Westerville/Olentangy Orange) have posted a record of 14-3 at first doubles.

For his career, Harris has posted a record of 82-17 to rank fourth in BW history.  He six wins away from third place.   Harris and Ganim have combined for a record of 79-21 at first doubles to rank fifth all-time in school history.
 

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Thursday, March 17 when they travel to Washington, Pennsylvania for a non-conference match against Washington & Jefferson College at the Janet Swanson Tennis Center at 3:30 p.m.  

BW also has a pair of non-conference matches on Saturday, March 19 when it travels to Waynesburg, Pennsylvania and New Wilmington, Pennsylvania.   The Yellow Jackets first takes on Waynesburg University at 11 a.m. then faces Westminster College at 4 p.m.
