Ganim Earns Third Career OAC Men’s Tennis Weekly Accolade

BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC standout Doug Ganim (Westerville/Olentangy Orange) has been selected as the OAC Men's Tennis Player-of-the-Week.

Ganim, who earns his third career weekly honor, won both his doubles and singles match as the Yellow Jackets won their fifth straight match as they shutout the University of Mount Union by a final score of 9-0 in the OAC opener.

Ganim and teammate senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC standout Peter Harris (Akron/Revere) rallied from down 4-0 to win at first singles by a score of 8-6.  The duo improved to 17-3 on the season and is an impressive 82-21 in their four years as teammates.

Ganim closed out his day by not dropping a game in his match at second singles.  He defeated his Purple Raider opponent in straight sets by scores of 6-0 and 6-0 to up his record to 16-2 on the year. 

For his career, Ganim ranks eighth in school history with a career mark of 77-17.   He is sixth all-time in combined singles and doubles victories with 159.

BW is back in action on Saturday, April 2 when it hosts an OAC match against Otterbein University on the Pop Collins Tennis Courts at 1 p.m.
