BW Men’s Tennis Team Beats Gordon (Mass.) in Hilton Head, S.C.
HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis team beat Gordon (Mass.) College, 8-1, today in the fourth of six matches on its annual Spring Break Trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina.  So far, BW has a 3-1 mark in Hilton Head and is 9-1 overall this season.  Later today, BW faces Edgewood (Wisc.) University at 1:00 p.m.

The Yellow Jackets, now 9-1 overall, led 3-0 after doubles play as the number one tandem of sophomores Peter Harris (Akron/ Richfield Revere) and Doug Ganim (Westerville/ Olentangy Orange) won, 8-2. No. 2 duo of junior Kyle Patterson (Wooster/ Triway) and senior Brad Minrovic (Akron/ Ellet) won, 8-0. No.3 tandem of freshman Jake Liebler (Medina/ Senior) and senior Dan Rowsey (Ashland/ Senior) won, 8-1.

In singles action, Ganim won at No.2 by the scores of 6-3 and 6-1, freshman Nathan Katz (Upper Arlington/ Bexley) won at No.3 by the scores of 6-3 and 6-0; junior Letch Radomirov (Fairview Park/ Fairview) won at No.4 by a 4-6, 6-2 and 10-3 count; Liebler won at No.5 by a 6-1 and 6-2 score; and freshman Brian Carano (Akron/ Richfield Revere) won at No.6 by the scores of 6-0 and 6-4.

The Yellow Jackets end their spring trip schedule in Hilton Head on Wednesday, March 12 when they play Lake Forest (Ill.) College at 6:00 pm. BW opens Ohio Athletic Conference play on Saturday, March 22 when it hosts Capital University at the "Pop" Collins Courts in Berea at 1:00 p.m.

BW's 9-1 start this season increases its three-season mark to 61-2 overall. In 2011-2012, BW set a single-season school record with 29 victories, had a 29-1 record, won the 2012 Ohio Athletic Conference regular season (9-0) and tournaments titles and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III National Tournament before losing to eventual finalist Kenyon College. Last season, the Jackets produced a 23-1 record with the only loss coming to OAC champion and NCAA tourney participant Ohio Northern University.
