BW Men’s Tennis Team Edged by JCU, 5-4

LYNDHURST, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis team was defeated by Ohio Athletic Conference and Cleveland cross-town rival John Carroll University, 5-4, today at Ursuline College.

With its loss, BW is 13-2 overall and 2-1 in the OAC. With its win, JCU improves to 7-7 overall and 4-0 in the OAC.
 
The Yellow Jackets led 3-0 after doubles play as the number one tandem of sophomores Peter Harris (Akron/Richfield Revere) and Doug Ganim (Westerville/Olentangy Orange) won, 8-5. The No. 2 duo of junior Kyle Patterson (Wooster/Triway) and senior Brad Minrovic (Akron/Ellet) also won, 8-5. The No. 3 tandem of senior Zach Elbin (Findlay) and freshman Kevin Fredrick (Archbold) won, 8-4.
 
In singles action, No. 5 junior Letch Radomirov (Fairview Park/Fairview) was the only winner for the Yellow Jackets.  He won with scores of 7-6, 5-7 and 6-2.

BW is back in action this weekend when it travels to Mason, Ohio to play three OAC matches at the nationally-renown Linder Family Tennis Center on Saturday and Sunday, April 12-13. On Saturday, the Yellow Jackets face Muskingum University at 8:00 a.m. and Marietta College at 5:00 p.m. On Sunday, BW plays Heidelberg University at 9:00 a.m.
