ADA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis team lost at Ohio Athletic Conference rival Ohio Northern University, 6-3, today at the ONU Courts in its second to last match of the regular season. BW ends its regular season this Friday, April 18 when it hosts the University of Mount Union at the "Pop" Collins Courts at 1:00 p.m.
With its loss, BW falls to 16-3 overall and 5-2 in the OAC. ONU improves to 11-4 overall and 5-2 in the OAC.
The Yellow Jackets led 2-1 after doubles play as the No. 2 duo of junior Kyle Patterson (Wooster/ Triway) and senior Brad Minrovic (Akron/ Ellet) won, 8-6, to improve to 19-2 overall. The No.3 tandem of senior Zach Elbin (Findlay) and freshman Kevin Fredrick (Archbold) also won, 9-8, to improve to 14-4 this season.
In singles action, No. 6 junior Letch Radomirov (Fairview Park/Fairview) was the only winner for the Yellow Jackets. He won with scores of 6-3 and 6-2.
The 2014 OAC Tournament takes place from April 22-26 with the winner advancing to the NCAA Division III National Tournament.
