MASON, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis team defeated Ohio Athletic Conference rival Marietta College, 9-0, today in the second of three matches at the Linder Family Tennis Center this weekend.  BW already beat Muskingum University, 9-0, earlier today and plays against Heidelberg University tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m.

With its win, BW is 15-2 overall and 5-1 in the OAC and has won eight straight matches. Marietta falls to 3-9 overall and 1-4 in the OAC.

The Yellow Jackets led 6-0 after doubles play as the number one tandem of sophomores Peter Harris (Akron/ Richfield Revere) and Doug Ganim (Westerville/ Olentangy Orange) won, 8-0, to improve to 18-3 overall. The No. 2 duo of junior Kyle Patterson (Wooster/ Triway) and senior Brad Minrovic (Akron/ Ellet) also won, 8-1, to improve to 17-2 overall. The No.3 tandem of senior Zach Elbin (Findlay) and freshman Kevin Fredrick (Archbold) won, 8-0, to improve to 12-4 this season. 

In singles action, Patterson won at No.1 by the scores of 6-0 and 6-1 and is now  11-7 overall. Harris won at No.2 by a 6-0 and 6-0 count and is 14-5 overall. Ganim won at No.3 by the scores of 6-1 and 6-1 and is 17-3 overall. Minrovic won at No.4 by a 6-0, 3-6 and 1-0 (12-10) score and improved to 10-8. Freshman No. 5 player Nathan Katz (Upper Arlington / Bexley) won by a 6-0 and 6-1 count and is 14-7 this season. Junior No.6 player Letch Radomirov (Fairview Park/ Fairview) won 6-0 and 6-1 to improve to 12-3 overall.

Following its matches this weekend in Mason, BW is back in action on Tuesday, April 15 when they travel to Ada, Ohio and play Ohio Northern University at the ONU Courts at 3:30 p.m.
