Laughner Earns Second Career All-American Honor, Murphy Finishes 10th at NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -  Senior All-American runner Alyssa Laughner (Howard, Pa./Central Mountain) earned All-American honors and sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference distance runner Hope Murphy (Mogadore) placed 10th for the Baldwin Wallace University women's indoor track and field team at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships at JDL Fast Track.

Both competed in the one-mile finals for the last day

  • Laughner placed eighth with a time of 4:59.57, adding a second all-american honor to her career. 
  • Murphy finished in 10th place with a time of 5:21.06.

Laughner, Murphy and the rest of the Yellow Jackets will begin the outdoor season on Friday, March 18, at the Washington & Lee Carnival at the Wilson Field in Lexington, Virginia
