Select BW Runners Compete at Lake Erie College Mid-Week Open

BEREA, OHIO - Select runners from the Baldwin Wallace University men's and women's indoor track & field teams competed at the Lake Erie College Mid-Week Open tonight (Wednesday, February 17, 2010) at the GaReat Sports Complex in Geneva.

For the men, sophomore Drew Beck (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua Academy) completed the mile run in a season-best 4:28.43 seconds and senior Mark Buhoveckey (Brunswick/Parma Padua Franciscan) ran the 3,000-meter in a season-best 9:20.72.

The top performance on the women's side was freshman Brittany Sterling (Lima/Senior) placing third in the 200-meter dash with a season-best time of 27.27.

BW is in action this Friday, February 19 when it hosts the final of its four home meets, the Greater Cleveland College Championships, at 5:00 p.m. on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Center. The Yellow Jackets throwers also compete at the Kent State University Open Meet on Saturday, Feb. 20 at 11:00 a.m. and the decathletes/pentathletes compete at Ohio Wesleyan University.
