Women's Soccer Announces 2019 Schedule

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team and third-year head coach Jim Wojtkun have announced the 2019 schedule.

BW opens up the season at the annual Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament, hosted by Penn State Behrend (Pa.) College. The Yellow Jackets will take on Kenyon College on Friday, Aug. 30, and will close out the tournament on Saturday, Aug. 31, in either the championship or the consolation game. The following weekend of Sept. 6-7, BW will compete in another tournament up at Buffalo State (N.Y.) College.

After two straight road games, the Yellow Jackets finally return home to host Hiram College on Wednesday, Sept. 18, for the home opener at 7 p.m. inside George Finnie Stadium. Grove City (Pa.) College and Ohio Wesleyan University also travel to Berea for non-conference contests on Sept. 24 and Oct. 2, respectively. 

Ohio Athletic Conference action opens up with two consecutive home games against Capital University and Ohio Northern University on Oct. 5 and Oct. 9. Other home conference games include Heidelberg University on Oct. 16, Wilmington College on Oct. 26 and Marietta College in the regular-season finale on Nov. 2.

BW finished the 2018 season with an 11-7-1 slate and a record of 5-4 in the OAC.
