AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – For the third time this season and her career, Baldwin Wallace University senior goalkeeper Emma Bruno (Pittsburgh, Pa./Bethel Park) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

Bruno led BW to a 1-0-1 OAC record this week with a tough road draw against crosstown rival John Carroll University on Wednesday and a pivotal home shutout victory against Wilmington College on Saturday. In addition to helping her team earn four crucial points in the OAC standings, Bruno's seventh shutout of the year stands alone as the Pittsburgh, Pa.-native's career-high.

Bruno allowed just one goal on ten shots faced in the Yellow Jackets' 1-1 draw in University Heights on Tuesday. She followed up that performance by earning a rather easy home shutout victory against Wilmington. Thanks to stellar defensive play by her teammates in front of her, the senior goalkeeper encountered zero shots on goal on route to her 19th career shutout.

The Yellow Jackets will be back on the pitch on Wednesday, October 30 when they travel to Alliance to take on the University of Mount Union for their last regular season road game in Mount Union Stadium at 7:00 p.m.
