AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team has been picked to finish sixth in the 2019 Ohio Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll.
The Yellow Jackets were selected to finish sixth of ten teams with 41 points. Leading the way in this year's poll was Ohio Northern University with 77 points and five first-place votes. The defending conference regular season and tournament champions, Otterbein University followed very closely behind in second, tallying 76 points and the remaining five first-place votes. Third place featured Capital University with 66 points. Rounding out the top five vote getters were the University of Mount Union and crosstown rival John Carroll University with 54 and 48 points, respectively.
BW opens the 2019 season on Friday, August 30, when it travels to Erie, Pennsylvania to take on Kenyon College at the Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament. The Yellow Jackets' first home game will take place on Wednesday, September 18 where they will compete against Hiram College. OAC play will begin on Saturday, October 5 when BW travels to Bexley to take on Capital.
