AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – For the second time this season, Baldwin Wallace University senior goalkeeper Emma Bruno (Pittsburgh, Pa./Bethel Park) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

Bruno led the Yellow Jackets to a perfect 2-0 record this week with non-conference wins over opponents Oberlin College and NAIA Carlow (Pa.) University. In addition to the two victories, Bruno held her opponents scoreless in 180 minutes of action, earning her 16th and 17th career shutouts. She has still remarkably yet to allow a goal in 465:39 of action this season, sporting a 5-0 record with five consecutive shutouts over that span.

Bruno made one save in BW's 2-0 road win against Oberlin on Tuesday. She followed up that performance by stopping all four shots she faced in Saturday's 3-0 win over NAIA Carlow (Pa.) University in inside Highmark Stadium, which is the home of the United States Soccer League (USL) Pittsburgh Riverhounds.

The Yellow Jackets will be back on the pitch Wednesday when they take on Hiram College for their home opener in George Finnie Stadium at 7:00 p.m.
