AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University freshman freestyler Austin Olsavsky (Medina) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week for the first time in his career.
Olsavsky earns his first weekly accolade after winning two events in BW's home opening and OAC opening victory over Wilmington College by a final score of 120-84 in the BW Natatorium inside the Lou Higgins Center.
In his first dual meet of his collegiate career, Olsavsky captured the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle in times of 1:52.96 and 5:17.23.
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Friday and Saturday, October 25 and 26 when they host the BW Fall Duals against Bethany (W. Va.) College, Manchester (Ind.) University and NCAA Division II Ursuline University. Friday's action begins at 6 p.m and Saturday's action is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
