Lewis Garners Second Career OAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week Accolade

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University freshman stroker Michael Lewis (Lancaster) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week for the second time in his career.

Lewis, who earned his first weekly honor on January 7, led BW (4-7) with three victories in the regular season finale loss to crosstown rival and nationally ranked Case Western Reserve University in the BW Natatorium. He won the 50-yard breaststroke in a time of 27.71 seconds, the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:02.08 and the 400-yard individual medley in a time of 4:27.11.  Lewis also swam the second leg on the 200-yard medley relay team that took third in a time of 1:43.22. 

The Yellow Jackets return to action when they compete in the three-day OAC Championships on February 14-16 at the Ocasek Natatorium on the campus of the University of Akron.  Preliminary action begins each day at 10 a.m. with finals to be held each night at 6 p.m.
