Men’s Soccer Picked Eighth in 2022 OAC Preseason Poll

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team has been tabeed to finished eighth by the Ohio Athletic Conference coaches as announced in the annual OAC Preseason Poll.

BW, who was picked to finish eighth in last year's poll and finished ninth in the league, was selected to finish eighth with 25 points. Defending OAC champion John Carroll University, was voted to finish with 80 points, including eight first place votes. Otterbein University, who was the runner-up last season, was selected to finish second with 70 points. Picked in the third spot is Ohio Northern University who received 69 points, including two first place votes. In the fourth spot is Capital University with 49 points. Rounding out the top five is Marietta College and Wilmington College who are tied for fifth with 46 points.

The Yellow Jackets and veteran head coach Reid Ayers return 20 letterwinners, one All-Ohio Athletic Conference player and six Academic All-OAC performers from last year's team that went 6-12-2 with a 0-8-1 mark in the OAC.

BW opens the 2022 season on the road September 1 when it travels to Wooster to take on The College of Wooster. The home opener is on September 3 when the Yellow Jackets host Chatham (Pa.) College. BW opens up OAC play when it hosts Marietta College on October 1.
