Men’s Soccer Ties Geneva (Pa.) in Scoreless Match

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team tied non-conference opponent Geneva (Pa.) College at a final score of 0-0 on the Tressel Field inside George Finnie Stadium.

BW Leaders (2-0-1)

  • Sophomore goalkeeper Zoltan Nagy (Lakewood/St. Edward) recorded three saves. 

Geneva Leaders (1-1-2)

  • Gabriel Kemp finished the match with seven saves.

First Half (Tie 0-0)

  • Five minutes into the match, the Golden Tornadoes was awarded a penalty kick which was saved by Nagy.
  • The Yellow Jackets led the half with five corner kicks.
  • BW also led the half with nine shots and held Geneva to five shots .

Second Half (Tie 0-0)

  • The Yellow Jackets led with two corners kicks to Geneva's one.
  • Each team finished the half with four shots and one save.

BW is back on action on Saturday, September 10th when it travels to Meadville, Pennsylvania to take on nonconference opponent Allegheny (Pa.) College at 3:00 p.m. at Frank B. Fuhrer Field.
