Five Men’s Soccer Student Athletes Receive Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association Honors

WILMINGTON, Ohio – Five Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer student athletes received Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association Honors.

Senior midfielder Dylan Keeling (Rocky River) was named to the All-Ohio second team along with sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference goalkeeper Zoltan Nagy (Lakewood/St. Edward). Senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC defender Trevor Hamm (Strongsville) was tabbed to the All-Ohio third team with senior forward Nick Surowicz (Medina/Highland).

Hamm, Surowicz and senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC midfielder Brandon Garibotti (Berea/Berea-Midpark) were tabbed to the Academic All-Ohio second team.

Keeling earns his first Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association All-Ohio honors. Keeling earned the honors after appearing in and starting 17 games. He scored one goal and was third on the team with four assists for six points. He took 17 shots with 11 shots on goal. For his career, Keeling has appeared in 60 games and made 40 starts. He has scored eight goals while dishing out 10 assists for 26 points. He took 66 shots with 38 shots on goal. 

Nagy received All-Ohio honors for the first time in his career. Earlier this season, Nagy was selected to the All-OAC third team and he was OAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week on September 26. This season, he appeared in and started 18 games while leading the team to an 11-5-2 record. He was second in the OAC with a career best 80 saves and a career best .816 save percentage. He was fourth in the OAC and lead the team with an 1.07 goals allowed average. He led the team with seven shutouts and allowed a career best 18 goals. In his career, Nagy has appeared and started in 30 games between the pipes with a record of 15-12-3.  He has tallied 125 saves in 2, 236 minutes of action. He has a 1.30 goals allowed average with a .767 save percentage.

Hamm was tabbed to the All-Ohio team for the third team in his career and the Academic All-Ohio team for the second team in his career. Hamm was an All-OAC third team selection this season and a College Sports Communications Academic All-District selection. He anchored and led the Yellow Jacket defense. He appeared and started in 16 games while scoring one goal for two points. He took a career-high 16 shots on the season with five on goal. Off the field, he is a three-time Academic All-OAC performer, a Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar, and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. For his career, Hamm has appeared in and started 83 games. He scored four goals for eight points. He took 40 shots with 16 shots on goal.

Surowicz earned his first All-Ohio and Academic All-Ohio recognition. He was named the OAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on September 26. He appeared in 18 games while making 13 scores. He was third in the OAC and led the team with a career best 11 goals. He was also second on the squad with a career best five assists. He registered a career best 27 shots which was good for third in the OAC and led the team. He took 42 shots with 26 on goal. Off the field he is a Dean's List student and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. In his career, he appeared in 48 games and made 37 starts. He scored 19 goals and dished out five assists for 43 points. He took 89 shots with 51 on goal.

Garibotti was named to the Academic All-Ohio second team for the second time in his career. This season, he appeared in 19 games with 16 starts with one assist for one point. He took 10 shots with five on goal. Off the field, he is three-time Academic All-OAC performer, a Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. For his career, he appeared in 68 games with 54 starts. He scored one goal and dished out six assists for eight points. He took 42 shots with 19 shots on goal.

BW finished the season with an 11-6-2 overall record and a 2-6-1 mark in the OAC.
