BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer dropped the Ohio Athletic Conference opener to Capital University by a final score of 1-0 on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium.

BW (6-5-1, 0-1 OAC) got off a slow start. Capital (1-3, 1-0 OAC) got a shot off and a corner kick in the first two minutes. However, sophomore forward Michael Tusick (Strongsville) picked up the offense. He finished with seven shots and four shots on target. He took the first four shots of the game for the Yellow Jackets. Two of those shots hit the crossbar and just bounced out. Both teams continued to get possession and get shots off. BW outshot the Comets by a mark of 9-7 in the half. But it was Capital who capitalized with a goal by midfielder Keegan Reese in the 42 minute. The Comets carried the 1-0 lead into halftime.

In the second half, the defenses picked up as the rain began to fall. The Yellow Jackets once again led the offensive charge outshooting Capital 5-3. BW got the best chances in the half; however, they were not able to break through. Neither team was able to find the back of the net.

In the net, for the Yellow Jackets was freshman goalkeeper Zoltan Nagy (Lakewood/St. Edward) he made three saves on the four shots he faced.

BW is back in action on Wednesday, October 6 when they host Ohio Northern in an OAC matchup on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium at 7:00 p.m.
