Men’s Soccer Drops OAC Contest to Mount Union

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer dropped an Ohio Athletic Conference to the University of Mount Union by a final score of 1-0 in the Mount Union Stadium.

Both teams came out neck and neck with both getting two shots in the first 15 minutes of action. Mount Union (10-4-2, 3-4-1 OAC) was able to get the most chances in the half outshooting BW (6-11-2, 0-7-1) 9-4. However, both teams defensed held strong and neither team allowed a goal, as they went into halftime scoreless.

The Purple Raiders got the most pressure in the beginning on the half, getting four shots with one being the lone goal of the game from Brandon Youngs. However, the Yellow Jackets were able to return with pressure of their own getting the next four shots in the half. Both teams continued to get shots off until the final whistle. It was Mount Union who led the half in shots and the lone goal in the game.

In the net for BW was freshman goalkeeper Zoltan Nagy (Lakewood/St. Edward) who made seven saves on the eight shots he faced.

The Yellow Jackets return to action for the final game of the season on Saturday, October 30 when they host Marietta College in an OAC and Seniors' Night game at 7:00 p.m. on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium
