BALDWIN WALLACE INFORMATION:
SPORTS PLAYED AT BW (YEARS AND LETTERS WON): As a fourth year junior in 2011-12, Max played in his third season of football and earned his second varsity letter.
ATHLETIC HONORS:As a fourth year junior in 2011, Max was tabbed as an Ohio Athletic Conference Honorable Mention Performer.
GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION: Matt has has a solid four-year football career thus far. B-W has had a 23-17 record during his four seasons in the Brown & Gold. Despite being given a medical red-shirt for his third year, He has earned two varsity letters, recorded 71 career tackles, including 31 solo, nine and a half tackles for loss, six and a half sacks, and six pass deflections.
As a freshman in 2008, Max played in his first season of football and saw playing time on the junior varsity defensive line. Max also dressed for a few varsity games and was credited with one game of participation.
As a sophomore in 2009, Max played his second season of football, and earned his first varsity letter. Max played in nine games and started five at a defensive tackle spot. He had up 19 tackles, including 10 solo stops. He also had one quarterback sack and two hurries.
As a junior in 2010, Max played in his third season of football. He saw action in two games recording seven tackles and 0.5 sacks for -12 yards. An injury caused Max to miss the final eight contests.
As a fourth year junior in 2011, Max had a strong season with 40 tackles, 8.5 tfl, 5.5 sacks 2 ff and 2 saf. For his efforts, Max was selected as an All-OAC Honorable Mention performer.

As a senior in 2007, Max earned Associated Press Northeast Lakes All-District Football Second Team, Ohio High School Athletic Association Division I Offensive Player of the Week versus Glenville and versus St. Xavier. Max was a member of Mentor's 2006 and 2007 OHSAA Division I State Finalist teams.
