BALDWIN WALLACE INFORMATION:

SPORTS PLAYED AT BW (YEARS AND LETTERS WON): As a senior in 2011, Matt competed in his fourth season of football and earned his second varsity letter.  As a junior in 2010, Matt competed in his third season of football and earned his first varsity letter. 

ACADEMIC HONORS: Matt is a solid student who carries a 3.416 grade point average; Dean's List. Matt also was inducted as a Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society during the 2012 year.

GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION: Matt had a solid four-year football career. B-W had a 23-17 record during his four seasons in the Brown & Gold. He earned two varsity letters, recorded 71 career tackles, including 31 solo, three tackles for loss, one sack, one forced fumble and had two pass deflections.

As a freshman in 2008, Matt played in his first season of football and saw playing time as a linebacker for the junior varsity squad.

As a sophomore in 2009, Matt played in his second season of football.  Matt played in three varsity games but did not letter.

As a junior in 2010, Matt played in his third season of football.  He was utilized in the linebacker rotation on defense for the varsity squad and saw action on special teams.  He played in all 10 varsity games where he recorded 24 tackles on the season, nine solo, and .5 tackles for loss.  Matt also returned one kickoff for 13 yards.

As a senior in 2011, Matt competed in his fourth season of football for the Yellow-Jackets. Matt started and played linebacker in all 10 varsity games and had 47 tackles on the season, 22 solo, three tackles for loss, one sack and one forced fumble.

HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS PLAYED (YEARS & LETTERS EARNED): Matt played football for three years, earning three varsity letters.

HIGH SCHOOL HONORS, SPECIFY SPORT & YEAR: (ALL-CONFERENCE, DISTRICT,  ETC.):  As a junior, Matt earned first team defense North-East Inland District honors, second team defense All-Ohio honors, and honorable mention All-Federal League.  As a senior, Matt was a team captain, was selected second team defense North-East Inland District, and was second team All-Federal League. Matt led the team with more than 100 tackles as a  junior and senior.
