BALDWIN WALLACE INFORMATION:

SPORTS PLAYED AT BW (YEARS AND LETTERS WON): As a senior in 2011-12, J.J. played in his third season of football at Baldwin-Wallace and earned his third varsity letter. J.J. transferred to B-W in the Fall of 2009 from Bowling Green State University where he played football as a freshman.

ATHLETIC HONORS: As a junior in 2010-11, J.J. was named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his 12-tackle effort in a 10-7 win versus Capital University. Following his senior season, J.J. was named as an Honorable Mention All-Ohio Athletic Conference linebacker for his efforts during his senior season.

GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION: J.J. had a solid four-year football career. B-W had a 23-17 record during his four seasons in the Brown & Gold. He earned three varsity letters, recorded 166 career tackles, including 66 solo, 17.5 tackles for loss, five and a half sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

As a freshman in 2008-2009, J.J. attended Bowling Green State University.  He transferred to Baldwin-Wallace College in the Fall of 2009. 

As a sophomore in 2009-2010, J.J. played in his first season of football at B-W and earned his first varsity letter. J.J. played in all 10 games and totaled 26 tackles, including 13 solo tackles and a pass breakup.  

As a junior in 2010-11, J.J. played in his second season of football at B-W and was a starting linebacker for the Yellow Jackets. For his efforts during the Capital game, J.J. was awarded the Dick Miller Community Night Player of the Game as well as being named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his 12-tackle effort in the 10-7 win. For the season, J.J. recorded 81 tackles including 11.5 tackles-for-loss (-33 yards), one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and two sacks for a loss of seven yards.  

As a senior in 2011-12, J.J. played in his third season of football where he earned his third varsity letter. J.J. finished the season second on the team in tackles with 59, including three and a half sacks, and six tackles for a loss. J.J. was named as an Honorable Mention All-Ohio Athletic Conference linebacker for his efforts during his senior season.
