BALDWIN WALLACE INFORMATION:

SPORTS PLAYED AT BW (YEARS AND LETTERS WON): As a junior in 2011-12, Ryan  played his second sesaon of football at B-W, and earned his second varsity letter. During his junior season, Ryan served as one of four team captains.  As a freshman in 2009-2010, Ryan played one year of football at NCAA Division II Slippery Rock State University.

ACADEMIC HONORS: Ryan has been named as a Jacket Scholar for maintaining a cumulative GPA above 3.5, he has been selected as a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society, and also was inducted into the National College Athlete Honor Society. Ryan carries an outstanding 3.647 grade point average and was given both Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference and CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District IV honors.

ATHLETIC HONORS: Ryan has been named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week twice, once during both of his sophomore and junior seasons.

GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION: Ryan has had a solid football career thus far. B-W has recorded a 15-5 record during his two seasons as the starting quarterback for the Brown & Gold. For his career, Ryan has earned two varsity letters, as he has completed 265-of-458 passes for 3,457 yards with 30 TDs and 20 interceptions. He also has rushed for four TDs and has a long run 71 yards. 

As a freshman in 2009-10, Ryan attended NCAA Division II Slippery Rock (Pa.) University. He played in six games and started the final two games of the season and completed 31-of-52 passes for 521 and two touchdowns.  He transferred to B-W in the Spring of 2010.

As a sophomore in 2010-2011, Ryan played his first season of football at Baldwin-Wallace College and was the starting quarterback. In 10 games, Ryan led the Yellow Jackets to a 7-3 record as he has completed 119-of-213 passes for 1,513 yards and 16 TD.  He also rushed for three TD.  For his efforts against Wooster on September 2, Ryan was named OAC Offensive Player of the Week. He completed 9-of-13 passes for 174 yards and three TDs without an interception in a 38-14 victory, in Berea.

As a junior in 2011-12, Ryan started at  quarterback for the second straight season and was one of four team captains. For the season, he completed 129-of-221 passes for 1,611 yards with 12 TDs and eight interceptions. He also rushed for 33 yards and one TD.  Ryan earned his second OAC Player of the Week award in two seasons when he completed 24-of-29 passes for 279 yards and three TDs without an interception to lead the Yellow Jackets to a 35-20 win over Heidelberg on September 19.

HIGH SCHOOL HONORS, SPECIFY SPORT & YEAR: (ALL-CONFERENCE, DISTRICT,  ETC.): Ryan was selected to the All-Ohio, All-West Shore Conference and All-District first-team following his senior season of football. Also following his senior season, he also was a Lorain County Golden Helmet winner, symbolic of the top football player in Lorain County.
