BALDWIN WALLACE INFORMATION:

SPORTS PLAYED AT BW (YEARS AND LETTERS WON): As a sophomore in 2011-12, Kevin competed in his second season of football for the Yellow Jackets earning his second varsity letter. Kevin also competed in his second seasons of indoor and outdoor track and field running in sprints and relays where he earned his second varsity letter in both sports as well, respectively.   

ATHLETIC HONORS: In football, Kevin has been named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Football Special Teams Player-of-the-Week for his performance in a 35-34 victory against Otterbein University on October 9, 2010. In track & field, Kevin has earned All-OAC honors as well all All-American for his outstanding efforts running in sprints and relays.

GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION: Kevin has had a solid football career thus far. B-W has recorded a 15-5 record during his first two seasons in the Brown & Gold. He earned his second varsity letter as a sophomore as he appeared in all 20 games throughout his career as a Yellow Jacket. During those 20 games, Kevin has become one of the top kick return specialists in Division III. For his career, He has returned 32 kickoffs for a 26.3-yard average and has returned one for a TD. In addition, Kevin has recorded six recpetions for 250 yards which is an average of 41.7 yards-per-catch.

As a freshman in 2010, Kevin played his first season of football. He saw playing time on defense at cornerback and is one of the most deadly kickoff return specialists in NCAA Division III football. In a 35-34 Homecoming win versus Otterbein University, K.J. returned three kickoffs for 135 yards to establish a Finnie Stadium record, including a 94-yard return for a touchdown that tied another Finnie Stadium record. For his efforts, he was selected as the Frank Roppolo Homecoming Player of the Game.  Kevin was also selected as the OAC special teams player of the week for his efforts against Otterbein. On the season, K.J. had two receptions for 106 yards and two touchdowns averaging 53 yards per reception. He also had 20 kick returns that totalled 574 yards and one touchdown averaging 28.7 yards per return.

As a sophomore in 2011, Kevin competed in his second season of football with the Yellow Jackets. Kevin recorded 4 catches for 144 yards, for 2 touchdowns, one interceptation, and had 12 kickoff returns for a total of 269 yards which is an average of 22.4 yards per return. Look for Kevin to start on special teams as well as offense and defense. Kevin earned his second varsity letter as a sophomore and will continue to be an asset as a Yellow Jacket for two more seasons to come.

GENERAL INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD INFORMATION: Kevin has had a solid indoor track and field career thus far. B-W has finished fourth in the OAC in his first two seasons in the Brown & Gold. For his career, Kevin has recorded career best marks of 6.64 seconds in the 55-meter, 7.07 seconds in the 60-meter dash, and a 24.62 second finish in the 200-meter dash.

As a freshman in 2011, Kevin competed in his first season of indoor track and field.  He had a team best time of 6.57 in the 55-meter dash and a season best time of 24.34 in the open 200 meter dash. Kevin also competed in the 4x200 relay and posted a season-best time of 1:32.70 at the 2011 Cleveland College Championship.

As a sophomore in 2012, Kevin competed in his second season of indoor track and field for the Yellow Jackets.  Kevin posted a best times of 6.64 seconds in the 55-meter at the 2012 B-W Mid-January Meet, 7.07 seconds in the 60-meter dash at the ninth annual All-Ohio Meet, and a 24.62 second finish in the 200-meter dash at the 2012 OAC North Split Meet.  Kevin was also an important part of the 4x200 relay that set a season best time of 1:31.54 that placed first at the Fighting Scots Invitational.

GENERAL OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD INFORMATION: Kevin has had a solid outdoor track and field career thus far. B-W has finished second in the OAC in his first two seasons in the Brown & Gold. For his career, Kevin has recorded career best marks of 10.93 seconds in the 100-meter and 22.50 seconds in the 200-meter dash. He also earned All-American accolades as he was a member of the 4x100-meter relay team that recorded a 41.46 timing in the finals to place eighth.

As a freshman in 2011, Kevin competed in his first season of outdoor track and field.  He established season-best times in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.18 at the UNC Charlotte-49er Classic and in the 200-meter dash at 23.25 at the Coastal Carolina University Invitational.

As a sophomore in 2012, Kevin competed in his second season of outdoor track and will earn his second varsity letter in the spring.  Kevin recorded career-bests in the 100-meter with a time of 10.93 at the All-Ohio Track meet and 200-meter at 22.50.  He also earned All-American accolades as he was a member of the 4x100-meter relay team that recorded a 41.46 timing in the finals to place eighth. The top eight competitors in each event earn NCAA Div. III All-American accolades. Also competing in the 4x100-meter relay with Josiah was sophomore Shawn Cordes (Medina/ Buckeye), senior Mike Smith (Wintersville/ Indian Creek) and sophomore Josiah Holt (Elyria/ Grafton Midview).
