BALDWIN WALLACE INFORMATION:

SPORTS PLAYED AT BW (YEARS AND LETTERS WON): As a senior in 2011, Brett competed in his fourth season of football and earned his fourth varsity letter. As a junior in 2010, Brett competed in his third season of football and earned his third varsity letter.  Brett also ran track for one season as a freshman in 2009. During that year, Brett earned a varsity letter.

ATHLETIC HONORS: As a senior in 2011, Brett was named as a first-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference and a second team OhioCollegeFootball.com (www.ohiocollegefootball.com) All-Ohio linebacker for hisoutstanding play during his senior season.

GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION: Brett had a solid four-year football career. B-W had a 23-17 record during his four seasons in the Brown & Gold. He earned four varsity letters, recorded 219 career tackles, including 97 solo, 28.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, one fumble recovery, six interceptions and six pass deflections.

As a freshman in 2008, Brett played in his first season of football and received playing time as a linebacker and lettered.  Brett stepped in when injuries hit the B-W linebacking corps and made apperances in all 10 games, including starts in the last two.  Brett finished the season with 30 tackles, two tackles for a loss, a quarterback hurry and a fumble recovery.

As a sophomore in 2009, Brett played in his second season of football and earned his second varsity letter. He played in nine games and started nine. Brett had 66 tackles, 10 tackles for a loss, two sacks, one interception, six pass break ups, and three quaterback hurries.

As a junior in 2010, Brett  competed in his third season of football where he started at the linebacker position. He tallied 60 tackles, two sacks, eight tackles-for-loss, five pass deflections, and one fumble recovery. 

As a senior in 2011, Brett competed in his fourth season of football. Brett had an outstanding senior year. He lead the Yellow Jacket defensive in tackles with 63. Brett also had 8.5 tfl, two sacks and four interceptions.

INDOOR TRACK INFORMATION: As a freshman in 2009, Brett competed in his first and only season of indoor track where he ran in the sprints. Brett had a season-best time of 6.98 in the 55-meter dash at the B-W Mid January Meet and a time of 7.49 in the 60-meter dash at the ONU Joe Banks Invite.  Brett also was a member of B-W's 4x200-meter 'A' relay.

OUTDOOR TRACK INFORMATION: As a freshman in 2009, Brett competed in his first and only season of outdoor track where he ran in the sprints. Brett had a season-best time of 11.59 in the 100-meter dash at the OWU Marv Frye Invite and a time of 23.60 in the 200-meter dash at the OAC Split Meet East at B-W.  Brett earned All-OAC honors as a member of B-W's third place 4x100-meter relay team at the 2009 OAC Outdoor Championship Meet at Wilmington (42.27).

HIGH SCHOOL HONORS, SPECIFY SPORT & YEAR: (ALL-CONFERENCE, DISTRICT,  ETC.):  As a junior in 2006-2007, Brett earned NOL First Team Linebacker honors, All-District First Team Linebacker honors, All-Ohio Special Mention at Linebacker and Shelby High School Defensive Player of the Year in football. Brett also was a member of the NOL Second Team 4x100-meter relay team and NOL First Team 4x200-meter relay team in track. As a senior in 2007-2008, Brett earned NOL First Team Running Back, NOL First Team Linebacker, NOL Second Team Place Kicker, All-District First Team Linebacker, North Central Ohio Coaches Association Defensive Player of the Year, All-Ohio Special Mention at Linebacker, Mansfield News Journal First Team Area Linebacker, Mansfield News Journal Player of the Week, Shelby High School Captains Award, Shelby High School Most Improved Offensive Player, Shelby High School Defensive Player of the Year and holds the Shelby High School career record for tackles in football. Brett also earned Shelby High School Defensive Player of the Year in basketball and was a member of the NOL first team 4x100-meter relay team and NOL first team 4x200-meter relay team in track.
