SPORTS PLAYED AT BW (YEARS AND LETTERS WON): As a senior in 2011, Matt competed in his fourth season of football for the Yellow Jackets and earned his second varsity letter.  As a junior in 2010, Matt competed in his third season of football earning his first varsity letter. He received a certificate of participation as a freshman (2008) and sophomore (2009).

GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION:  Matt had a solid football career during his time at B-W. He helped the Yellow Jackets record a 23-17 record during his four seasons in the Brown & Gold. Matt earned two varsity letters, recorded 20 career tackles, including nine solo, three tackles for loss and one forced fumble.

As a freshman in 2008-2009, Matt played his first season of football.  He  saw playing time at defensive end on the junior varsity squad. 

As a sophomore in 2009-2010, Matt played in his second season of football. He played defensive end on the junior varsity team for the Yellow Jackets.

As a junior in 2010-2011, Matt competed in his third season of football.  He saw playing time in nine games and recorded five tackles as he earned his first varsity letter.

As a senior in 2011-12, Matt competed in his fourth season of football for the Yellow Jackets.  He saw playing time in all ten games and recorded eight solo tackles with seven assisted tackles while recording 2.5 tackles for a loss with one forced fumble. Matt also earned his second letter as a senior.

HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS PLAYED (YEARS & LETTERS EARNED): Matt played football for four seasons and earned three varsity letters.  He also played basketball for four seasons and earned two varsity letters.

HIGH SCHOOL HONORS, SPECIFY SPORT & YEAR: (ALL-CONFERENCE, DISTRICT,  ETC.):  In football, Matt was a first-team All-West Shore Conference player and served as a team captain. Matt was a member of the National Honor Society, the honor roll and won the Kiwanis Academic Award and Trustee Scholarship.
