Toughey Selected to CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District IV Team

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin-Wallace College student-athlete and baseball player Brendan Toughey (East Amherst, N.Y./ St. Josephs Collegiate), has been named to the 2011 CoSIDA/ CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District IV team for his efforts in the classroom and on the field.

Toughey,
 who carries a 3.93 grade point average in business administration and accounting and will earn a Master's degree at B-W in its 3:2 Master's of Accounting Program, started in the outfield for the 17-17 overall Yellow Jackets. Despite missing 11 games due to an injury, he batted .295 (23-for-78) with 18 runs scored, three doubles, one triple, one homerun, 11 RBI and seven steals in seven attempts.  In the classroom, he is a Dean's List student, a member of the Alpha Lambda and Chi Sigma Alpha honor societies and a Jacket Scholar.
