Six Women’s Track and Field Student-Athletes Earn Academic All-OAC Accolades

BEREA, Ohio – Six Baldwin Wallace University men's track and field student-athletes have been named to the Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team. 

Senior jumper Abby Snow (Massillon/Jackson), junior hurdler Lyndsey Armstrong (Ashtabula/Geneva), junior multi-event athlete Rachel Holowecky (Amherst/Firelands), junior jumper Erin Kasper (Amherst/Marion Steele), sophomore distance runner Bailee D'Amore (McDonald) and sophomore thrower Madeline Ziccardi (Cuyahoga Falls) are six of the 34 BW spring sports student-athletes named as Academic All-OAC.

In order to be selected as Academic All-OAC, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, be in residence at the school for at least a year and maintain varsity status.

Snow, a four-year letterwinner and indoor track and field All-OAC performer, earns her fourth career Academic All-OAC accolade.  She also is a letterwinner and an Academic All-OAC selection in cross country.  Snow is a psychology major that carries a 3.99 grade point average.  She is one of six spring student-athletes to garner her third spring academic accolade.  Snow is a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar.  She is a member of the Alpha Lambda, Chi Sigma Alpha, Dayton C. Miller and Psi Chi (Psychology) honor societies.  Snow was named one of 10 Outstanding Seniors at this year's Ovation and Honors Day Ceremony.  She earned Bonnie Raye Scholar Athlete Award, William Prokasy Psychology Alumni Award and the Ruby Redinger Prize in English as a senior. Snow earned the Dr. Neille and Jeanne Shoemaker English Scholarship as a junior.  She graduated Summa Cum Laude

Armstrong, a three-year letterwinner, earns her second career Academic All-OAC honor.  She is a biology major that carries a 3.63 grade point average.  Armstrong is a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar.

Holowecky, a three-year letterwinner, garners her second career Academic All-OAC accolade.  She is a criminal justice major that carries as 3.84 grade point average.   Holowecky is a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar.   She is a member of the Chi Sigma Alpha and Dayton C. Miller honor societies.

Kasper, a two-year letterwinner and indoor track and field All-American, earns her first career Academic All-OAC honor.  She is an exercise science major that carries a perfect 4.00 grade point average.   Kasper, a two-time indoor and an outdoor All-OAC performer, was one of two perfect GPAs among the spring student-athletes to be recognized.  She is Dean's List student and Jacket Scholar.

D'Amore, a two-year letterwinner, earns her second career Academic All-OAC accolade. She also is a two-year letterwinner and an Academic All-OAC selection in cross country.  D'Amore is a public health major that carries a 3.76 grade point average.   She is a Dean's List student.

Ziccardi, a two-year letterwinner earns her first career Academic All-OAC honor.   She is a healthy and physical education major that carries a 3.56 grade point average.  Ziccardi is a Dean's List student.   She is a member of the BW Health and Physical Education Club and the BW Informed Student Educators.
