Sophomore Diver Julie Pinter Places Sixth at Division III National Swimming & Diving Championships

Pinter earns third All-American honor
and breaks school-record in 3-meter

KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE --  Baldwin Wallace University sophomore diver Julie Pinter (Brecksville-Broadview Heights) placed sixth and broke her own school record in the three-meter diving event today (Wednesday, March 23, 2011) at the NCAA Division III National Championship Meet in Knoxville, Tennessee. By placing sixth, Pinter earned her third Div. III All-American honor.

Pinter scored 464.15 points in the prelims to break her own previous Yellow Jacket school record of 446.92 points set at last year's Div. III national meet. In the finals, she scored 399.80 points to place sixth.  Her prelim score of 464.15 points ranked as the third best total in the preliminary round of the 3-meter event.
 
Pinter returns to action on Friday, March 25 when she competes in the one-meter event.
 
In addition to Pinter, BW 6-time men's All-American diver Todd Richert (North Royalton) will compete tomorrow, Thursday, March 24, in the 1-meter event and again on Saturday, March 26, in the 1-meter event.
