Rice and Scattino named to OAC All-Women’s Soccer Tournament Team

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer sophomore forward Sydney Rice (North Royalton) and senior defender Aundrea Scattino (Girard/Niles McKinley) were named to the All-Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament team.

Rice was named to the team after scoring a conference-best four tournament goal.  She scored her four goals in a quarterfinal a come from behind 7-3 victory against the University of Mount Union. The seven goals scored was an OAC Tournament record for goals scored in a game.  This season, she finished with 18 goals and two assist for 38 points.

Scattino was selected to the team after controlling the backline for BW. In her career, she appeared in 67 games and made 51 starts with one career assist and in 2018 Scattino was named the team's Freshman of the Year. Off the field, she is a two-time Academic All-OAC performer, a Dean's List student, jacket Scholar, and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society.

The Yellow Jackets finished the 2021 campaign with a 11-10 overall record and a 5-4 mark in the OAC.  BW advanced to OAC Tournament for the ninth straight season, including its third trip to the semifinals.
