BEREA, Ohio – On Baldwin Wallace University Alumni Athletic Association Hall of Fame Day, the Yellow Jackets defeated three Ohio Athletic Conference Opponents in the Lou Higgins Center Fieldhouse.

BW (13-2, 4-1 OAC) defeated Muskingum University, 51-3, Otterbein University, 40-3, and Heidelberg University, 27-14. The Yellow Jackets were led by senior two-time All-American Anthony Arroyo (Maumee), who had two pins for less than a combined four minutes, and sophomore All-OAC 149-pounder Stanley Bleich (North Ridgeville/Elyria Catholic) who also claimed three victories.

#5 BW vs Muskingum

Junior 125-pounder Nicholas Berry (Laura/Dayton Carroll) fell in the first match to a pinfall, giving Muskingum an early 6-0 lead. After two Muskingum forfeits, Bleich claimed a 12-3 major decision. Arroyo followed with a 19-2 technical fall, and 174-pounder Adam Green (Austintown/Finch) and senior Justin Ransom (Madison) each had pinfalls of 31 and 25 seconds, respectively. Senior Academic All-OAC 285-pounder James Ritchie (Carlisle) rounded out the 46-3 Yellow Jacket victory with another pinfall of 2:28.

#5 BW vs Otterbein

Seven BW wrestlers grabbed victories in the Otterbein match, starting with a 2-0 decision from junior Academic All-OAC 133-pounder Charlie Nash (Norwalk). Sophomore 141-pounder Tanner McHugh (New Ringgold, Pa./Tamaqua) followed with a 6-3 decision, and Bleich snagged an 18-5 major decision. In the next match, senior 157-pounder Richie Burke (Ithica, N.Y./Ithica) won by a 16-0 technical fall and Arroyo followed with a 1:10 pin. Senior 197-pounder Christopher Head (Massillon/Jackson) claimed the final Yellow Jacket victory with a 9-4 decision, and the 36-7 final.

#5 BW vs Heidelberg

Junior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC 133-pounder Dante Ginnetti (Poland/Seminary) seized the first BW victory with a 12-6 decision, moving him to 19th on the Career Wins Leaderboard, tying with teammate, senior All-OAC 197-pounder Zeckary Lehman (Akron/Revere). McHugh was the next victor with a tight, 6-5 decision. Bleich won his final match of the day by a 16-4, major decision, and Burke followed with an 18-0 technical fall. Arroyo sealed his second pin of the day in 2:34, marking his 109th career victory. Ritchie pinned his opponent in 2:35 for the final BW victory and a 27-14 final.

Next up for the Yellow Jackets is the Pete Wilson Invitational, hosted by Wheaton College on Friday, Janaury 25 and Saturday, January 26. Matches are set to begin at 11 a.m.
