MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Baldwin Wallace University wrestling team competed in the Spartan Mat Classic, hosted by Manchester University and placed sixth out of 21 teams, with 8 placers.

BW (10-2, 1-1 OAC) was led by junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC 133-pounder Dante Ginnetti (Poland/Seminary), who earned a second place finish. Seizing third place finishes were junior Academic All-OAC 125-pounder Nicholas Berry (Laura/Dayton Carroll), junior Academic All-OAC 133-pounder Charles Nash (Norwalk), and junior Academic All-OAC 149-pounder Nick Sbrocco (Perry).

The Yellow Jackets had three sixth place finishers in junior 141-pounder Aaron Kelly (Rocky River), sophomore 141-pounder Dalton Leightner (Ravenna/Rootstown), and senior 197-pounder Christopher Head (Massillon/Jackson). Grabbing an eight place spot was junior 174-pounder Adam Green (Austintown/Finch).

BW will be back in action when they host Muskingum University, Otterbein University, and Heidelberg University on Saturday, January 19, inside the Lou Higgins Center. This day also marks the BW Hall of Fame Wrestlers Day to honor past wreslters for Baldwin Wallace.
