Baldwin Wallace Women's Golf Team Finishes Fifth At The Allegheny (Pa.) College Invitational

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished fifth of 12 teams at the Allegheny College Invitational Tournament being played at the Meadville Country Club in Meadville, Pennsylvania. 

The Yellow Jacket "A" team shot a first round total of 357 strokes and a second day 348 to total 705 strokes to place fifth.  Allegheny, who is third-ranked nationally, was the tournament champion with a two-day total of 655.   The BW "B" team carded a first round 383 and a second day 376 for a total of 759 strokes.

Leading the Yellow Jacket "A" team was led freshman Emilee Woolf (Ravenna/ Senior) who carded rounds of 90 and 82 for a total of 172 to finish tied for 13th. Freshman Miranda Cunningham (Dayton/ Dayton Christian) finished tied for 15th with rounds of an 90 and 84 for 174 while sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference player Brooke Hamilton (Cleveland/ St. Joseph Academy) and freshman Rebecca Jones (Hilliard/Darby) both turned who turned in a scores of 180 for a tie for 23rd place. Rounding out the "A" team was sophomore All-OAC player Rebecca Kapusta (Independence) carding rounds of 90 and 91 for 181 and a 25th place finish.

The Yellow Jacket "B" team was led by freshman Mirranda Rockich (Akron/ Green) who finished with rounds of 89 and 88 for 177 while freshman Mary Crisafio (Pittsburgh, Pa./ The Linsly School) carded 91 and 96 for 187. In addition, freshman Sarah Allred (Akron/ Green) had two consecutive rounds of 95, seniorDiana Han (Curitiba, BRAZIL) shot 108, 97 respectively and senior Nicole Carlone (Canton/ St. Thomas Aquinas) shot 109, 97 to round out the teams score.

The Yellow Jackets will conclude the fall portion of their schedule this weekend when they travel to Springfield, Ohio to take part in the Wittenberg University "Clash at the Clouse" Tournament at the Windy Knolls Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday, October 9-10.
