BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished seventh of 17 teams today (Sunday, October 10, 2010) at the annual Pat Clouse Invitational hosted by Wittenberg University at the Windy Knoll Golf Course in Springfield, Ohio.
The Yellow Jacket "A" team carded a total of 347 strokes for a two-day total of 679 strokes and was led by sophomore All-OAC player Rebecca Kapusta (Independence) who carded an 86 on the par 71 course with a two day total of 167. Kapusta was followed by freshman Miranda Cunningham (Dayton/ Dayton Christian)with an 87 rounding out her two day total of 169 and sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference player Brooke Hamilton (Cleveland/ St. Joseph Academy) turned in final score of 171 after shooting an 84 on the day. In addition freshman Miranda Rockich (Akron/ Green) finished the tournament with a 172 and a 90 for the day. Lastly, rounding out the "A" teams day, freshman Rebecca Jones (Hilliard/Darby) carded a 90 for a 180 on the tournament.
The Yellow Jacket "B" team shot a team total of 396 strokes to place 12th of 17 teams. BW was led by senior Nicole Carlone (Canton/ St. Thomas Aquinas) who carded an 89, followed by freshman Sarah Alred (Akron/ Green) who carded a 90. In addition, senior Diana Han (Curitiba, BRAZIL) had a 113, with sophomore Sarah Terrill (Cuyahoga Falls/ Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy) rounding out the day with a 104.
The Jackets rounded out the fall half of their schedule finishing at 53-14 and begin their spring half of the season March 7-11, while on their spring break trip with the location yet to be announced.
