BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball sophomore forward Bella Vaillant (Perrysburg) of the No. 12 nationally ranked women's basketball team was selected to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week for the first time in her career and the first Yellow Jacket since 1999.

Vaillant, who is the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week, is one of five NCAA Division III women's basketball players across the country receiving the weekly award. Vaillant helped BW start the 2022-23 season 1-0, upsetting No. 2 nationally ranked Trine (Ind.) University in double overtime by a 75-70 final score. Vaillant led the team and all players with 21 points and 11 rebounds, notching a career-high, and added one assist. 

In her career, Vaillant has tallied 87 points, 54 rebounds, nine steals, five assists, and three blocks. Vaillant's previous career-high was 11 points and four rebounds against Muskingum University on February 22, 2022 in the OAC Tournament Quarterfinals.

The Yellow Jackets return to play on Friday, November 18 as they travel to Springfield to take on Wittenberg University in the first game of the Wittenberg Invitational. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. inside the Pam Evans Smith Arena.
