Hensel of Women’s Basketball Selected to the CSC Academic All-District Team for First Time in Career

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Graduate All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC guard Megan Hensel (Upper Sandusky) of the No. 13 nationally-ranked Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) All-District Team for the first time in her career.

This season, Hensel has notched 191 points, averaging 7.64 points per game. Hensel also leads the team in made three pointers with 38 this season. She has also added 122 rebounds (4.88 per game), 19 assists, 17 steals, and 11 blocks. Hensel notched a career-high 22 points in the BW Invitational, earning her BW Invitational All-Tournament Most Valuable Player and OAC Player of the Week honors.

Hensel carried a 3.866 grade point average in her undergraduate years at BW and currently holds a 3.933 grade point average in the Master of Accountancy program. Hensel is also a Dean's List student, a Jacket scholar, and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma and Dayton C. Miller honor societies.

In her career, Hensel averages 6.49 points per game, four rebounds per game, and has tallied 668 total points. Hensel is sixth All-Time at BW in Career Three Pointers Made, totaling 126. She also is in the top-15 for three-point attempts and three-point percentage in her career. Hensel has also added 412 rebounds, 76 assists, 74 steals, and 29 blocks in her career. 

BW returns to play Tuesday, February 21 as the team hosts crosstown rival John Carroll University in the OAC Tournament Quarterfinals. The #3 seeded Yellow Jackets will take on the #6 seeded Blue Streaks at 7:00 p.m. in the Ursprung Gymnasium inside the Lou Higgins Center.
