BEREA, OHIO – One Baldwin Wallace University men's swimming and diving student-athlete was named as Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference announced today by the league office. Each honoree must be at least a sophomore and carry a 3.5 grade-point-average.
Senior swimmer/diver Tony Tijerina (Defiance/Napoleon) is representing the men's swimming and diving teams.
Tijerina, a psychology major with a 3.55 GPA, is making his third straight appearance on the Academic All-OAC team. He made completed a transition this season from strictly a diver to a diver-swimmer hybrid and posted career-bests in the one-meter championship dive (396.50) and 100-yard freestyle (51.81).
