BW Men Lose to Mount Union

BEREA, OHIO – The Baldwin Wallace University men's swimming and diving team lost in Ohio Athletic Conference competition to the University of Mount Union today in the BW Natatorium inside the Lou Higgins Center.

The BW men, now 0-7 overall and 0-2 in the OAC, lost to the Mt. Union men, 141-93.

The BW men were led by sophomore Bryan Gerber (Sagamore Hills/Nordonia) and junior Nikolaus Williams (Warren/Harding). Gerber won the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard breaststroke with times of 2:07.80 and 1:04.68, respectively. Williams won both the 1-meter voluntary and 1-meter optional diving events with 105.53 points and 132.60 points.

The Yellow Jackets are idle this week due to Fall Semester final exams and return to the pool on Sunday, December 16 when they host OAC foe Defiance College and non-league foe Ursuline College in a home tri-meet at 1:00 p.m.

The BW tankers begin the 2013 portion of the schedule on January 1 when the teams travel to Sarasota, Florida for their annual Fall/Winter Break trip from Jan. 1-12. BW will swim against OAC foe Transylvania (Ky.) University on Jan. 5 in Sarasota.
