Men's Soccer Picked Ninth in 2019 OAC Preseason Poll

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team has been picked to finish ninth in the 2019 Ohio Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll.

The Yellow Jackets were selected to finish ninth of ten teams with 20 points. Leading the way in this year's poll was defending conference tournament champion, regular season conference co-champion, and crosstown rival, John Carroll University with 77 points and six first-place votes. 2018 OAC regular season co-champion, Capital University followed very closely behind in second, with 76 points and the remaining four first-place votes. Third place featured Ohio Northern University with 64 points. Coming in fourth and fifth place were the University of Mount Union and Marietta College with 56 and 49 points, respectively.

BW opens the 2019 season on Saturday, August 31, when it travels to Erie, Pennsylvania to take on Chatham (Pa.) University at the Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament. The Yellow Jackets' first home game will take place on Saturday, September 7 where they will compete against Denison University. OAC play will begin on Saturday, October 5 when BW travels to Bexley to take on Capital.
