Geither Gathers First OAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – For the first time in his collegiate career, senior forward Joey Geither (Parma/Normandy) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

In a week that saw BW earn a 2-0 record, the forward netted three goals, totalling six overall points. His week was highlighted by a two-goal performance in the OAC opener against Capital University on Saturday night, that also included the game-winner. Geither also scored a goal in the Yellow Jackets' 7-0 route of Pitt.-Greensburg on Wednesday night. Heading into this week's action, Geither has six goals, six assists, and 18 points in a mere 12 games this season.

For his career, Geither now has 16 goals, 17 assists, and 49 points, in 61 games played.

The Yellow Jackets return to the pitch when they travel to Ada to take on conference opponent, Ohio Northern University on Wednesday October 9 at 7:00 p.m., inside Kerscher Stadium.
